You are a certified machinist looking to work in the mining industry? This opportunity is for you!

Under the supervision of the foreman, the machinist will :

  • Perform various tasks on precision equipment such as a bender, conventional and digital lathe;
  • Maintain equipment and ensure part quality;
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints or examine part samples to determine the machining operations to be performed and the optimal sequence of operations;
  • Use a portable boring machine.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Compétences

Requirements:

  • Have a professional diploma in machining;
  • Have 5 years of experience in the trade;
  • Have a Red Seal, an asset;
  • Have experience in the mining industry, an asset;
  • Be able to work in an underground mine in confined spaces;
  • Be able to work in a nordic set.

Working conditions and benefits:

  • Permanent full-time position;
  • Work schedule of 14 working days, followed by 14 days off, alternating day and night;
  • Hourly salary between 38.53$ to 49.61$;
  • Rate and a half for hours worked over 40 hours per week, for work performed on Saturday and Sunday as well as on statutory holidays;
  • Fly-in / Fly-out work dynamic: Workers can take the plane at Mirabel airport or at Val-d'Or airport;
  • Transportation allowance packages depending on the distance between your home and the departure airport;
  • Accommodation provided as well as food;
  • 4 hours at regular paid at the entrance and exit of the mine site;
  • Tools and work equipment supplied on the mine site;
  • Group insurance and pension plan;
  • Work clothing allowance!

La découverte et la mise en valeur du gisement satellite Amaruq, situé à 50 kilomètres de la mine, ont permis de prolonger la durée de vie du complexe Meadowbank en procurant une nouvelle source de minerai à traiter.
